Member Prices:

  • 25-Minute Class Session: $45
  • 50-Minute Class Session: $60

Non-Member Prices:

CLASS SIZES

The PACC is proud to promote small class sizes with an average of 5:1 ratio per class. Younger classes are typically held with 2-4 students, and older classes are typically held with 3-7 students. Private lessons are also available is a student is needing more hands on work with an instructor.

CLASS AVAILABILITY

Class spots are first come first serve. If a class is full, a waitlist will be used and parents will be contacted with alternative times for that class. A class will never be taught with more than the student maximum to guarantee that we keep ratios proper for the best student outcomes.

LEVELS – FIND YOUR CLASS!

Ducklings Lesson Information

Students aged 6mo-18mo who have not yet taken swimming lessons. These students cannot swim on their own and are taking this class to get introduced to the water. Students will learn water exploration skills as well as front and back floats with support and how to fully submerge underwater with assistance. This class is taken with a parent guardian in the water during all class courses. This course is taken in 8-10 sessions with each class being 25 minutes in length.

Lily Pads Lesson Information

Students aged 18mo-3.5 years who have either not taken swimming lessons or have graduated from ducklings. Students will learn water exploration skills as well as front and back floats with support and how to fully submerge underwater with assistance. This class is taken with a parent guardian in the water during all class courses. This course is taken in 8-10 sessions with each class being 25 minutes in length.

Tadpoles Lesson Information

Tadpoles is the first class session for those that are 3.5 years of age or have graduated from our Parent/Guardian Assisted Classes. This is the first class students can take in our Beginner Swim School Courses. These students cannot yet fully submerge underwater on their own and still need support when attempting to float on their front or back. Students will learn water safety skills such as entering and exiting the water independently. They will also learn beginning stroke development with kicking on front with support, kicking on back with support, & beginning arm actions on front with support with an instructor. This course is taken in 8-10 sessions with each class being 25 minutes in length.

Frogs Lesson Information

Students at least 5 years of age or have graduated from Tadpoles. These students can fully submerge underwater, enter and exit the water on their own but cannot swim or kick independently. This is the second class of our beginner swim school, and students will learn safety skills such as floating and kicking on the back independently as well as learning to swim for at least 5 yards unassisted. This course is taken in 8-10 sessions with each class being 25 minutes in length.

Otter Pups Lesson Information

Students at least 5 years of age or have graduated from Frogs. This is the last class of our Beginner Swim School. These students will learn stroke technique skills to help them swim for at least 10 yards on their front and back independently. These students can float independently on their front and back for at least 15 seconds by the end of the course. They can also jump into water of at least 3.5 feet to an instructor. This course is taken in 8-10 sessions with each class being 25 minutes in length.

Otters Lesson Information

Students at least 7 years of age or have graduated from Otter Pups. These students can float and kick independently. They can swim at least 10 yards independently and can retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool. They will learn stroke technique skills for front and back crawl as well as begin to learn safety strokes such as breaststroke and elementary back stroke. They will graduate this course being able to swim at least 25 yards. This course is taken in 8-10 sessions with each class being 50 minutes in length.

Turtles Lesson Information

Students at least 7 years of age or have graduated Otters. These students are able to swim on their front and back for at least 12 yards. They can tread water for at least 30 seconds, and are able to enter the water from a dive position. By the end of the course they should be able to swim all 4 competitive strokes at a length of at least 25 yards, and each safety stroke for a length of at least 50 yards. This course is taken in 8-10 sessions with each class being 50 minutes in length.

Stingrays Lesson Information

Students at least 7 years of age or have graduated Turtles. These students are able to swim on their front and back for at least 25 yards. They can tread water for at least 1 minute, and can retrieve objects from a depth of at least 7 feet. By the end of this course, students will be able to swim at least 150 yards without stopping. They will also be able to swim all 4 competitive strokes for a distance of 50 yards, and each safety stroke for a distance of 100 yards. This course is taken in 8-10 sessions with each class being 50 minutes in length.

Junior Lifeguarding Class Information

Become a junior lifeguard!! Interested in learning more about what it takes to become a lifeguard? Learn from Aquatics Leads in this 4 day course about safety skills, swimming for endurance & daily lifeguard duties by participating in a 30 minute swim workout for beginners, 30 minute skills session on basic rescues and safety skills for lifeguards, a 20 minute snack break and q&a discussion on the material and then end the day shadowing a lifeguard during our busy open swims! At the end of the course, participants will recieve a junior lifeguard swag item & a certificate honoring their PACC junior lifeguarding program completion! The PACC junior lifeguard program is not a Red Cross lifeguard certifying program, but the course does prepare those that are interested in a future as a lifeguard with knowledge and safety skills about the course. This course is geared for students aged 9-14 who have an interest in becoming a lifeguard, aquiring more endurance in the pool, and becoming someone who is able to recognize an emergency and help save lives!

Classes are held Monday – Saturday from 9AM-10AM. 

Water Fitness Classes are free with a membership! To join us for class as a non-member, you must purchase a day pass. Water Fitness Classes are also apart of our Silver Sneakers program.

OPEN SWIM FOR ALL AGES

Our open swim for all ages is a fun time for the entire family! Use our Waterslide, rockwall or many float toys in our Lap Pool, or head over to the Kiddie Pool for pint sized fun! There’s something for everyone here. 

Water Slide

More Info

Our Water Slide is available for use by those 40in or taller. We ask that those who do not know how to swim without a life jacket do not use our water slide. For a more detailed understanding of our rules, please call the Aquatics Director at 218.346.9843!

Rock Wall

More Info

Our Rock Wall is located in the deep end of our pool and should not be used by more than one person at a time. You are unable to use a lifejacket on the rock wall, and must be able to swim independently. For a more detailed understanding of our rules, call the Aquatics Director at 218.346.9843!

Sauna

More Info

Our sauna is a dry sauna set between 140 & 160 degrees fahrenheit. The sauna is only available for use during times that the pool is open, and should not be used for more than 15 minutes at one time. The sauna cannot be used under any circumstances by those under the age of 10. Those under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult, and should not stay in the sauna for more than 10 minutes.

Hot Tub

More Info

Our hot tub is typically set at 104 degreees fahrenheit. The hot tub is not to be used by anyone under the ages of six under ANY circumstances. Those under the age of 15 should be within eyesight of a parental figure. It is reccomended that swimmers do not stay in the hot tub longer than 30 minutes.

Kiddie Pool

More Info

Our Kiddie Pool is fun for all ages and is equipped with our Pelican water feature. Those unable to swim without a lifejacket, or those under the age of 8 should be within arms reach of an adult while swimming in the kiddie pool.
