Swimming Lessons

Swimming Lessons are offered throughout the year, and are offered to swimmers aged from 6mo & up! The PACC swim curriculum is new as of 2023. To get signed up today, or for the most up to date schedule, find out more below!

CLASS PRICES

Member Prices:

  • 25-Minute Class Session: $42
  • 50-Minute Class Session: $52

Non-Member Prices

  • 25-Minute Class Session: $50
  • 50-Minute Class Session: $60

*Please note each session includes 8-10 classes*

CLASS SIZES

The PACC is proud to promote small class sizes with an average of 5:1 ratio per class. Younger classes are typically held with 2-4 students, and older classes are typically held with 3-7 students. Private lessons are also available is a student is needing more hands on work with an instructor. 

CLASS AVAILABILITY

Class spots are first come first serve. If a class is full, a waitlist will be used and parents will be contacted with alternative times for that class. A class will never be taught with more than the student maximum to guarantee that we keep ratios proper for the best student outcomes.

LEVELS – FIND YOUR CLASS!

Ducklings

Ducklings

Ages 6 - 18 months

Students aged 6mo-18mo who have not yet taken swimming lessons. These students cannot swim on their own and are taking this class to get introduced to the water. Students will learn water exploration skills as well as front and back floats with support and how to fully submerge underwater with assistance.

Lily Pads

Lily Pads

Ages 18 months - 3.5 Years

Students aged 18mo-3.5 years who have either not taken swimming lessons or have graduated from ducklings. Students will learn to take instructions from a teacher while still using support from parent/guardian. Students will learn water safety skills such as entering and exiting the water with assistance. They will also learn beginning stroke development with kicking on front with support, kicking on back with support, & beginning arm actions on front with support. **Class is taken with a parent/guardian in the water.

Tadpoles

3.5 Years - 5 Years

Students at least 3.5 years of age that are new to the water. These students cannot yet fully submerge underwater on their own and still need support when attempting to float on their front or back. Students will learn water safety skills such as entering and exiting the water independently. They will also learn beginning stroke development with kicking on front with support, kicking on back with support, & beginning arm actions on front with support with an instructor.

Frogs

Frogs

5 Years and up!

Students at least 5 years of age or have graduated from Tadpoles. These students can fully submerge underwater, enter and exit the water on their own but cannot swim or kick independently. Students will learn water adjustment skills such as floating and submerging on their own. They will also begin stroke development in the front & back crawl. By the end of this course, students will be able to swim semi-independently. 

Otter Pups

Otter Pups

5 Years and up!

Students at least 5 years of age or have graduated from Frogs. These students can float independently on their front and back. They can also jump into water of at least 3.5 feet to an instructor. Students will learn a multitude of skills to prepare them for safe swimming. By the end of this course, students will be able to enter the water from a jump, retrieve objects from the bottom (at least 3.5 feet) and be able to swim on their front & back indpendently for at least 10 yards.

Otters

Otters

7 Years and up!

Students at least 7 years of age or have graduated from Otter Pups. These students can float and kick independently. They can swim at least 10 yards independently and can retrieve objects from the bottom of the pool. Students in this course will learn vaulable skills to keep them safe in and around the water at a longer distance. They will also learn underwater swimming and survival strokes!

Turtles

Turtles

7 Years and up!

Students at least 7 years of age or have graduated Otters. These students are able to swim on their front and back for at least 12 yards. They can tread water for at least 30 seconds, and are able to enter the water from a dive position. Students in this course will begin to learn strokes such as the breaststroke and elementary backstroke. They will also build their endurance and by the end of the course they will be able to swim at least 25 yards. 

Stingrays

Stingrays

7 Years and up!

The final course in The PACC Swim Curriculum, Stingrays. Students at least 7 years of age or have graduated Turtles. These students are able to swim on their front and back for at least 25 yards. They can tread water for at least 1 minute, and can retrieve objects from a depth of at least 7 feet. Students will learn valuable safety skills to help themselves and others, as well as swimming all 4 strokes at a distance of at least 100 yards. They will also learn to swim the safety strokes, side stroke & elementary backstroke, for a long distance of at least 100 yards. 

** Students looking for more swimming after completion of Stingrays should consider joining the LAPS Swim Program at The PACC, or becoming a Lifeguard! **

WATER FITNESS CLASSES

Classes are held Monday – Saturday from 9AM-10AM. 

Water Fitness Classes are free with a membership! To join us for class as a non-member, you must purchase a day pass. Water Fitness Classes are also apart of our Silver Sneakers program.

OPEN SWIM & MORE!

OPEN SWIM FOR ALL AGES

Our open swim for all ages is a fun time for the entire family! Use our Waterslide, rockwall or many float toys in our Lap Pool, or head over to the Kiddie Pool for pint sized fun! There’s something for everyone here. 

Water Slide

Our Water Slide is available for use by those 40in or taller. We ask that those who do not know how to swim without a life jacket do not use our water slide. For a more detailed understanding of our rules, please call the Aquatics Director at 218.346.9843!

Rock Wall

More Info

Our Rock Wall is located in the deep end of our pool and should not be used by more than one person at a time. You are unable to use a lifejacket on the rock wall, and must be able to swim independently. For a more detailed understanding of our rules, call the Aquatics Director at 218.346.9843!

Sauna

More Info

Our sauna is a dry sauna set between 140 & 160 degrees fahrenheit. The sauna is only available for use during times that the pool is open, and should not be used for more than 15 minutes at one time. The sauna cannot be used under any circumstances by those under the age of 10. Those under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult, and should not stay in the sauna for more than 10 minutes.

Hot Tub

More Info

Our hot tub is typically set at 104 degreees fahrenheit. The hot tub is not to be used by anyone under the ages of six under ANY circumstances. Those under the age of 15 should be within eyesight of a parental figure. It is reccomended that swimmers do not stay in the hot tub longer than 30 minutes.

Kiddie Pool

More Info

Our Kiddie Pool is fun for all ages and is equipped with our Pelican water feature. Those unable to swim without a lifejacket, or those under the age of 8 should be within arms reach of an adult while swimming in the kiddie pool.
